Awakening the Chakras Testimonials:

"The workshop gave me an opportunity to experience
what I had only read about earlier.
Moving my awareness from one Chakra to another
helped me attune my awareness to a finer level.
Going into the asanas with an understanding of the Chakras, and moving awareness through the Chakras deepened my practice and gave me a fuller experience of the asanas.
~Uma Shankar~

"I came to get a better sense of my Chakras, and that certainly happened. I can feel the energy flowing through me where it was blocked before. Leaning about Kundalini was very eye-opening, as was all the other information given."
~Nancy McNab~

"It was interesting and brought a greater awareness to my body and the energy flowing through it. The ability to recognize which Chakras were being activated during various asanas was useful, as well as learning how the Chakras effect us."
~Shamoli Patel~

"The workshop was well organized and the transition between the different subjects was smooth and understandable.
I found the integration of awakening the Chakras with the asanas very useful. While focusing on moving through the Chakras I went into a meditative state without my mind wandering at all."

Ashva Horse-Assisted Yoga

Are you ready
for a unique, wonderful,
healing, inspiring
yoga experience?

Have an amazing yoga class led by Dan Fernandez in the company of horses and donkeys that have been helping people’s bodies and minds return to wellness, balance & peace.

Spring Reins of Hope is an equine-assisted services company offering both psychotherapy and life-skills coaching in NJ since 2009 alongside its sister nonprofit Spring Reins of Life 501c3 which has provided EAP for thousands of trauma survivors since 2012. Now, TGR Yoga has partnered with Spring Reins of Hope to offer Ashva Yoga with this special healing Herd. These equines have worked with humans loose in an enclosed space for 13 years and are very accustomed to this model. Additionally, there are scientific studies which support the fact that spending time in the presence of horses will lower cortisol / raise oxytocin levels as well as regulate our natural biorhythms to neutral.

Combining this unique power of horses with the practice and art of Yoga provides an expanded place of healing from the inside out.

In case you’d like to see aa little about what the 1st Ashva Yoga experience was like just click the link below to view some pictures from the event, We held the event in the inside arena due to the temperature outside, and it was very comfortable. But these may be held either inside or out.

Spring Rein of Hope's unique Herd consists of 4 award winning horses, a family of 3 donkeys, one self-appointed therapy cat, 3 borrowed goats, and apparently a rooster (who just showed up one day). Meet Miss Molly, the 2019 Veteran Affairs Therapy Animal of the Year... https://www.njvirtualherd.com/njvhblog/2019/3/11/change-for-the-better

"Recent studies conducted by the Institute of HeartMath provide a clue to explain the biodirectional "healing" that happens when we are near horses. According to researchers, the heart has a larger electromagnetic field and higher level of intelligence than the brain: A magnetometer can measure the heart's energy field radiating up to 8 to 10 feet around the human body. While this is certainly significant it is perhaps more impressive that the electromagnetic field projected by the horse's heart is five times larger than the human one (imagine a sphere-shaped field that completely surrounds you). The horse's electromagnetic field is also stronger than ours and can actually directly influence our own heart rhythm!

Horses are also likely to have what science has identified as a "coherent" heart rhythm (heart rate pattern) which explains why we may "feel better" when we are around them ~ studied have found that a coherent heart pattern or HRV is a robust measure of well-being and consistent with emotional states of calm and joy - that is, we exhibit such patterns when we feel positive emotions.

A coherent heart pattern is indicative of a system that can recover and adjust to stressful situations very efficiently. Often times, we only need to be in a horse's presence to feel a sense of wellness and peace. In fact, research shows that people experience many physiological benefits while interacting with horses, including lowered blood pressure and heart rate, increased levels of beta-endorphins (neurotransmitters that serve as pain suppressors), decreased stress levels, reduced feelings of anger, hostility, tension and anxiety, improved social functioning; and increased feelings of empowerment, trust, patience and self-efficacy.

The Influence of Heart Rhythm ~ Horses have an extremely strong heart rhythm or heart energy field. Equine assisted therapies have conducted studies, using HeartMath, showing horses assisting in healing humans. This occurs when a horse's heart rhythm is strong enough to influence, like a magnet, the neurochemistry within the brain." - (HeartMath.Org)

Chakra Healing with Dr. Jeff: The 5 Tibetan Rites ~ Ancient Yoga Practices for Healing and Rejuvenation

The 5 Tibetan Rites are ancient yogic practices that were performed for thousands of years by monks in remote Himalayan monasteries and were considered magical because of their remarkable healing and rejuvenating effects. They work by speeding up and creating balance in the flow of energy through the seven energy centers (chakras), thus normalizing hormonal and nerve imbalances.

We will explore the energy principles on which the rites are based and discuss specific healing benefits and precautions for each rite. Then we will learn the preparation and technique for each rite and practice them together. By the end of this class, you will be able to practice the rites on your own at home.

This class is a natural continuation from the morning workshop on chakras, and teaches us a powerful practice to activate the chakras directly.

$50 Registration
Note: Only $90 to register by July 22nd for both July 24th "Chakra Healing" workshops.

THE CHAKRAS are energy centers in the emotional body through which the universal life force flows into the physical body.

Jeff Migdow, MD, has spent the past 40 years exploring the chakra system. Join him for a deeply enriching experience as we explore the anatomy of our chakras and their connection to our physical health, mental and emotional well-being, and spiritual evolution.
